LOL good response, thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm playing a big game and it's taking a long time to meet the racial goals. 1000 stars etc.

Hello. As you can tell I'm still reading and posting here! Obviously it's possible to support more than one game at a time, but it's normal around release of good new games to play it for a bit. In any case the AI Improvement Mod is finished for Vanilla and Extended. When Lurchi delivers a final tech tree I plan to apply the AI Improvement Mod which will require considerable effort. Indeed I posted just yesterday encouraging him to move it along because I can't do anything without it.

I was so excited to download this mod, but unfortunately upon changing theme I get a crash saying

"Error at the line 33 file C/Matrix Games/Distant Worlds/biases.txt"

Any idea what that could be? :(

(Also I'm using Distant Worlds Shadows on parallel windows 8 on early 2011 macbook pro.)

This is likely because you are using Distant Worlds Shadows. This mod is for Distant Worlds Universe. There are a good number of mods for Star Trek though for Shadows that have been posted on this forum.

Hello dddmard, and welcome to the forums!

As FrozenFallout previously stated, the mod in this thread is for Distant Worlds Universe and is not
backwardly compatible with the DW Shadows version.

You need the Star Trek The Picard Era mod for Shadows, which you can download via the link here:

Hopefully soon, you will upgrade to DW Universe. Then you can fully enjoy this mod!

Oh, I always thought that universe is just a steam compact version of previous 3 DW as there are hardly any features and it costs like 3 of them...

But thank you. I'll get legends then.

Love the mod, but i keep crashing on a certain save at the same time. I really really really don't want to restart, but i cannot continue. For some reason the forums will not allow me to post one line in the dump i just get an error message

"You are not allowed to post links for 7 days from the date of your tenth post."

Can email that missing line, it is complete intel mission(comp intel mission)

Great mod, i've had absolutely loads of fun with it so far.

Just thought i'd let you know that i was having some problems with pre-warp ship design. It was throwing out an unhandled exception but i realized that it was caused by the ship design templates (i think) and deleting them from the theme worked a treat.
Just in case anyone else has had this problem. I think its because the ship templates use tech that you haven't researched yet.

I know nothing about modding or anything though so that's just what worked for me and my best guess as to why.

Hello jockmcplop, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the information. As far as The Picard Era mod is concerned, the ship design templates
were not modded in Version 1.0, and everything concerning them passed our testing in all variances
of the game styles. If you can, please PM me what the Unhandled Exception error was.

I would think that deleting the ship design templates will create a problem late in the mid to end game
if any automation is used and/or any ship design is automated. As for what you speculated about them, all
the ship design templates do is set a standard format for what components are included when using automated ship building. The tech level doesn't matter. If a component isn't researched yet, it can't be added as an
item to the vessel.

Nevertheless, we'll look into it as we finish testing version 2.0 of the mod which will be released very
soon! Again, thanks for the report!
