I know this is sort of an original concept in WITE, but do Axis need to achieve their objectives before mid Oct?
In my current campaign, Stalino, Kursk is taken; Moscow is surrounded by about 210 degrees; Leningrad is mostly undone but not but still holding: hex 83 16 light wood hex across waterway is taken, but not the adjacent Leningrad City hexes. Nothing is happening now because of Mud.

I presume that in Nov I will get a couple of turns opportunity to achieve my objectives before The Great Counter offensive begins and all is otherwise lost.

And have Axis achieved enough casualties at 2.8 Mil?

Many Axis players start preparing for the blizzard defense once the mud hits. I personally think this is a mistake because when the frost turns give you another three or four turns before the blizzard to try and improve your position or put some final punches into the Soviets that might have decided to prepare for the winter counter offensive rather than continue to defend.

Use the mud turns to prepare for some new offensives during the frost/snow weather. You should be able to have one or two major offensive drives during those turns and you could catch the Soviets off balance and do some real damage.
