Italy send a submarine to the Eastern Mediterranean.

No strategic bombing.

Germany ground strike the Belgian forces for less effect than expected.

The Japanese ground strike get the same result as the German but is considered a success. [&:] [:)]

To bad that Mao was not disorganized but that might have been asking for to much. [:D]

The Belgian forces stop the German advance into Belgium after one hex. Japan finish the encirclement of Mao. The battle for Tungkwan is about to begin but first part of the outlaying force is attacked.

Ahhh, stacks in Antwerp and the resource hex southwest of Brussels.

New players take note - that is how you get past the Dyle.

The battle of Tungkwan pocket begins with a automatic attack. No US reaction over that a minor Chinese city fell in the progress.

May/Jun 1940
Impulse: 2

The Royal Navy put to sea en masse. The U-boats do not seek out battles with the warships - its the TRS that they want.

At the end of the phase the Commonwealth are asked if they want to initiate combat in the Faroes Gap. Three elderly C-Class of the Northern Patrol - Curlew, Caledon and Caradoc - go looking for the pesky enemy.

But if the Germans do not want to play there is not much the RN can do. The same goes for the North Atlantic too.

Time may have run out for the Communists - the 1st Infantry Corps takes to the mountains south of Tungkwan in order to try and both protect itself and Mao...

Italy declare war on France and CW.

Germany and Japan select a land impulse. Italy continue with their combined impulses.

Italy launch a surprise port strike against the French fleet in Toulon. The French AA defence reduce the effectiveness of the Italian Sparvieros.

But the Italian naval bombers got through the antiaircraft fire and caused some damage on the surprised French Fleet.

For some reason the bombers prioritized the French battleships even though their orders was to target sealift, if possible.

No naval air.

Italy send out their entire submarine force in search for convoys. In the Eastern Mediterranean the Italian Submarine sneak up on a squadron of, unsuspecting, cruisers and damage HMS Manchester before withdrawing back to La Spezia in order to replenish supplies.

The Italian submarines patrolling the US East Coast and Cape St. Vincent failed to find the enemy convoys.

Japan bomb Chunking for effect. Reports from Chunking say that the industrial park is in ruins and production halted, but that production is expected to resume shortly.

Germany decide to only ground strike one hex and both sides send fighters so a air combat ensues. The French, outclassed, fighters manage to turn back the German interceptors but then they do not manage to find the bombers.
