1.2.1.5 Port strike what's next bug

Post by BrianSchick »

Hi,

After the French and British have struck different ports, the game does not advance to return attacking bombers to base.

I struck Kiel with the British, and La Spezia with the French. Neither Germans nor Italians could buy Avoid Combat with surprise points. Bombers lost all attack strength due to AAA. I will try again to repeat the bug.

Saved game.

After a couple of tries, the bug occurs if both bombings get through with no attack points. I get the chance to click 'Ok' against the German fleet, but not against the Italian fleet.

This one is really difficult to recreate, especially since I don't understand you. It really is obscure. So can you give some more specific information on this:

What do you mean with "no attack points"? Do you mean that there are no surprise points or have all the bombs been reduced by AA fire from the ships?

Can you state the exact die rolls for surprise and AA fire to recreate this?

Thanks for helping us out here...

I think this one is on the bug lists. It happens when bombers clear through but their attack factors are reduced to zero by AA fire.

Paul Derynck is correct. The bombing factors are reduced to zero at both ports.
