Sorry, there is no mechanism for that sort of thing that I'm aware of.

While game balancing might make the typical Intel message rather opaque to the recipient real life SIGINT quite often provided US forces (particularly submarines) with such as this: "Japanese submarine departed Yokosuka at 0500, fill in date, headed on patrol to vicinity of Ulithi, course 180, speed 10". That is about all one needs to arrange to set up the torpedo solution (admittedly exaggerated but not by much).

Thanks wdolson.

Spence the idea was just to insert some historical and technical data. For example: " intelligence discovered that Ki-27 is unable to fight above xxxxxx over that altitude our bombers are invulnerable"

Or when a new ship/weapon/airplane/unit arrives to give a primer if it is something with a specific propose.

That stuff is supposed to be in the operations report.

"Enemy newspapers report a certain congressman May claimed in a press conference that US submarines have a high survival rate because our depth charges are set too shallow. Expedite upgrades of ASW vessels to type 2 depth charges. Banzai!"

Yeah, if we could choose depth charge settings it will be one of applicable instances.

One bit of chrome the game doesn't have is changes to the rules based on events or experiences. In the real war, the US learned the weaknesses of the Zero after one crashed on an Alaskan Island and was in good enough condition to be made flyable. Even before that the USN was beginning to learn tactics to fight them.

In an ideal game engine, the Allies would be at a disadvantage against 1941 vintage fighters some thresholds are hit. This would all be randoms with a higher probability of passing based on a) time, b) Japanese losses near Allied held territory, and c) Allied encounters with these aircraft. The more aerial combat in the early going, the quicker the Japanese advantage will go away.

There could be a lot of these. Have a similar technique for the Allies getting better intelligence based on the code breakers. This would have to be more pure randoms, but could be influenced to some degree based on how aggressive the Japanese are in the early going (more operations mean more radio traffic, which in turn gives the Allied code breakers more to work with).

Technically these things could be done within this game engine, but it would be more work (it would take some real effort to do) than anyone has time for these days, so it will probably never happen.

Sure this is mostly chrome. Also we can't forget about what we already learned so i don't think this deserves an effort.

I would even prefer prefered some more editing openess regarding scale at least 20nm instead of 40nm, that way a Med scenario could be born.
