Anyone for a GD-1938 game?

Anyone for a GD-1938 game?
Maybe a 4 player game?
RE: Anyone for a GD-1938 game?
ME, I'd like to play. Cannot say I'm the best but I like the games. And I will not quit without warning...not that I'd quit anyway. And when I'm going to be unavailable for more than a day I make it known.
I like dropbox but will play other ways.

Bombur, dont believe what Larry says [;)].
He is right saying he is a reliable player who wont quit and will let anyone know when he is unable to play a turn. We are playing ETO and are stepping foreward quickly.(Have to admit that I am the one who causes delays for time to time.)
But dont believe he wont be a very challenging opponent. Will be a tough game when you have to fight him. But I am ready to take the challenge. So count me in please. Any nation except of China would be fine for me.

I would like to give this scenario a run. Not much time so I prefer a small nation. Like China. Probably able to normally do 1 turn a day.
Best wishes,
Vic

China is a smaller nation true. But it doesn´t have alot of leeway of doing things that otherwise make the game interesting. Mostly it is just holding out and on against the Japanese. If you want a country that is small yet plays a role in the way of the world, I would recommend Italy. Of course that would require the Axis to be played by 3 players, one for each nation. Maybe Japan is a better choice. ...

A refreshing pledge that should be part of the applicant screening process IMHO.

Jeffrey, do you want to play?
Claus?
A 6 player game would be ok.
We could have:
Germany/Italy
Japan
France/GB
USSR
USA
China
I can play any nation, but I would like to try USSR

Good morning all,
Vic, if the player mix works out to where we have a USA/China player that may be a good spot to play for you. China is in it from the beginning, but the Japanese can take the initiative from the start. With the USA you are going to have a long wait to get in the war unless something very weird happens. This gives the USA/China player time to see the patterns of the game. China by itself can be painful, but in Game Six they won it all.

Part of the reason China won in game 6 was because I assumed they were going for another type of victory and gave them to much ) But he played it well so deserves the victory.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

I prefer China alone. But China/USA is also ok.
Any idea how many turns a typical game is going to last?
best wishes,
Vic

At "Game12 - Fast Game" we are four players:
We are playing one or two rounds per week. Game at turn 43 now.
At turn 43 Japan is loosing more and more ground in China. Italy is reduced to the northern parts, while Western Allies have taken all terrain from Sicily up to Milan. Italien still holds Balkan, but SU is advancing from Russia and Turkey. Germany holds all mid, western, and northern Europe and the Baltic area. Germany might fight for more than another 20 turns, but in case the defeat of Japan in China or the defeat of Italy will cause any victory condition to get activated, the game might last only for another 10 turns.

I just uploaded the most recent version of the game to the scenario bank. Version 2.18a. It contains a few bugfixes compared to the one uploaded earlier (version 2.18).

Is this version compatible with the vs.2.20c update on the ATG forum?
