Looking for Japanese player - CLOSED

Post by JocMeister »

This will be my fourth(!) PBEM. So I think my opponent should have some prior experience with PBEMs.

My first game went all the way to mid 45. The AAR for that game can be found: HERE

I also had another game that ended in early 43. AAR is HERE

A third game ended in mid 42 where I surrendered due to Japanese AV on 1/1/43 being unavoidable. AAR is found HERE

I´m looking for a DBB or DBB-C game but with the right opponent I might consider the "Between the Storms" Mod. I play for VPs. But that doesn´t mean I don´t think the road there should be enjoyable for both sides. Therefore I´m open to discussing changes to the scenario and/or HRs. I do like to keep the HR list short though as I have found that HRs can be set with the best intentions but once you get a bit into the game they start to mess things up.

Some things are set in stone for me though.
-PDU OFF.
-Maximum altitude depending on year.
-PPs to cross borders
-No strat bombing prior to 1/1/43 (those of you who followed my last AAR will know why! [:D])
-Stacking Limits + Simons Gnarly roads

I would consider it a plus if my opponent would do an AAR as I will definitely do one. [:)] Tomasz and I managed 10-12 turns per day on the weekends at times so it will be up to my opponent to set the pace [;)]. An average of one turn per day would be minimum for me though or else I would start forgetting what I´m doing.

Glad to see you back in the battle so quickly. Wish I had enough experience to throw down the gauntlet. Will be looking forward to your next campaign. Good hunting.[:)]

Looking forward to it Jocke! Wish I had the time again, but until the Lotto ticket comes through next week I just don't and by then I'm sure you'll be into 42! [:D]

10 turns a day... my poor brain would explode!

I barely have time for 3! My 2 Allies games go at a blistering pace on some days. It's hard to get real work in when I'm flipping turns every hour or so! I'm sure I could squeeze it in, but the quality of my play as early war Japan would suffer...too involved in those first 30-40 turns. And then you add in the restrictions that Jocke wants and I would have to adjust to... (I've never played PDU Off, for example)...

See me in 2 years, Jocke [:'(].

I´ll be waiting for you and Erik both! [:)]

In the meantime it looks like I may have found an opponent. Ironing out the details. [:)]

Looks like it will be SCEN 30!

A bit nervous about all the SCEN 2 goodies but hopefully I can avoid AV this time... [X(]

Scen 2 is a beast I have never played. I'm a Navy man so I like doing the enhanced IJN Mods where the IJA get--basically--left alone.

Who is your opponent?

Good LUCK!
