Command gets Wargame of the Year Edition

Post by Surtur »

Launched in September last year, Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations blew the minds of fans of hardcore simulations with its unparalleled attention to detail, endless flexibility, and relentless realism. Command puts players in control of a vast array of units and formations, allowing them to lead the way in dozens official and user-created scenarios. The quality of this game did not go unnoticed by the press either, as Command won several awards including; Digital Wargame of the Year (Grogheads), Wargame of the Year 2013 (Usenet), and was selected among the Top Five Wargames of 2013 (War is Boring).

Since the release of the game, WarfareSims has not been sitting still, with regular updates bringing in fixes, features, and many other additions, all based on community feedback. But the community did more than just provide feedback; they went to work with the great tools provided by the game creating a host of new scenarios and other content, further expanding this already huge title.

Now we are pleased to announce that we are combining all post release updates, as well as a huge number of user-created scenarios into one comprehensive Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations Wargame of the Year Edition! In addition to the official included scenarios, a large number of user-created scenarios are freely available from the WarfareSims download site and players will be able to fight online in PBEM mode with Baloogan's free Joint Command multiplayer add-on.

Of course these new improvements come free to all existing owners of Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations, and we would like to give a big thank you to all who contributed to the success of Command by providing feedback and working on user created content. We could not have done it without you!

The Wargame of the Year Edition will start off a new chapter in the Command series, as it will form the foundation for future improvements and editions. At the same time we will also try bring the game to a new audience which will see a Steam release of the Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations Game of the Year Edition.

Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations Game of the Year Edition will be available on the 26th of September on our stores and Steam. A Steam key of the game will be available for anyone who already owns a copy of the game.

I think ur right.
Goty version normally just is a game with the lastest update, it should be a update patch for us here , but for the information from the post, Baloogan's multiplayer feature may be added into the goty update if getting permission from baloogan, and that's awesome[:D]

The GOTY update, like all previous official updates, are primarily for the benefit of customers who do not download the "unofficial" public releases (and we learned the hard way that most do not). We wish to ensure everyone is on the same page, so to speak.
