Game wont start

When i start the game via steam or the exe in the folder, the launcher launches, but clicking PLAY DISTANT WORLDS does nothing.
I have the steam version (tried both beta and normal).
i have verified all the files via steam.
I have gone through the entire trouble shooting guide.
Everything is run as administrator.
All sound and graphics drivers are up to date.
I have no dump file in the appdata/roaming/codeforce limited/distant worlds folder.

This game worked fine a 3 weeks ago, i was playing icemanias ai mod no worries at all.
Went to play stalker for a while adn finally came back to this game 3 weeks later.
And here i am, puzzled as hell as i changed nothing prior to this problem.

Yeah I'm seeing the same issue. The only thing new is I installed a new graphics driver last week from NVidia (344.11 - latest WHQL added on 9/18/2014). Both my main PC and Laptop use NVidia GPUs. I tried going through all of the steps in the Troubleshooting Guide on both my Laptop and my main PC but none of it helped.

I'll try to revert to an older driver later and see if it helps since this is the only thing that's changed.

Never mind, figured out the issue was with an existing customization linked in the customizations folder. Removal of the new customization allowed me to launch without issue.
