RE: A World on Fire
The combined Italian and German ground strikes only managed to disorganize one unit, the HQI Billotte.
Japan, on the other side of the world, had a great success with their ground strike.

Germany rail three units from Poland to the Italian and West Front.
Germany rearrange the units on the west front in order to do three attacks that the weather reduce to low odds attacks. Italy advance a hex or so into France, Corsica and Tunisia. Japan manoeuvre some in China in order to make a high odds attach on Changsha. Japan also moves into the mountains in the south cutting the supply for one Chinese unit.

Georges tries to provide defensive HQ support to Billotte.
France fly defensive support to the hex west of Metz. Two points added to the defence.
The French HQ support failed.

The third attack is considered a success since the hex was captured without losses.
Unfortunately, now most of the German units are disorganized.

China does not like the odds of this attack and already considers Changsha lost. Therefore China selects the blitz table in an attempt to reduce Chinese losses.

It turns out that China did indeed save one unit by selecting the blitz table instead of the assault table.
Edit: USA reacted strongly on the news that Changsha had fallen to Japanese aggression.

The turn could end on a die roll of one but the roll was a two so the turn and the bad weather continues.
The Allies now ponder on whether they should pass or not. The Chinese certainly wants to move their forces.

RE: A World on Fire
France can move the cavalry to Lyons in order to stop Italy from just entering the city. But getting a good defensive line seems tough at the moment. The turn has 30% chance to end and 50% if all pass. It would be nice if the turn ends but can the Allies chance on a 50% roll? Might it be wiser to move the units.

RE: A World on Fire
Don't pass. France needs to move the units, because if the turn doesn't end the Italians will breakthrough to the north and the race for Paris is on. It could even get worse, if the Axis get a double move...

CW debark with 3rd Corps in Djibouti. The Corps was planned to land in Suez but the recent declaration of war by Italy changed its destination.
This is wrong: why would you use a valuable inf to defend what ? Djibouti ? What is that worth, both tacticaly and strategically ? There is nothing that the Italian can do with it... Neither do you...

My only reason for wanting to pass was a feeling of impending doom and that only luck could save France. With a good nights sleep that feeling has passed and the Allies have a new hope. The evil empire will be defeated. France will prevail!
With that thought France select a land impulse and CW go with combined.

RE: A World on Fire
It might indeed be wrong. It was the unit available and it was destined to be in Egypt. I thought that it could still function as a reserve for Egypt even when it is in Djibouti.ORIGINAL: yvesp

I dislike giving up territory without a fight. The value of Djibouti remains to be seen depending on how the war in that area progress.

RE: A World on Fire
CW select a combined impulse while France, of course, take a land impulse.
CW sent a TRS with the Manchester Militia to Cape ST Vincent.
Timoshenko rail to the Murmansk area.
Wavell annoyed over the "chicken" jokes transfers his HQ, by rail, to Lyons.
France adjust their line slightly and abandon a couple of hexes. China also abandon a couple of hexes.
China rebase their fighter towards the front.

France abandoned one hex in the Maginot line. But the new defensive line looks strong enough... as long as it is bad weather...

CW returns one TRS to Algiers along with the one MIL and was escorted by one battleship and one cruiser. The Queens return to base to Adelaide. The French battleships and the French TRS along with a militia returned to Marseilles.
Germany can still not afford to reorganize all oil dependent units. Germany reduced production in order to save oil for next turn.
Edit: Changed Tunis to Algiers which is the correct port.
