I hope this is an ok ?

Post by freeboy »

It alway suprised me when I asked this and poeple through out the non historical is bad type comments..
As a student of history I concluded that fortunately Nasi
Germany had a very poor long term plan for the conquered nations.
Does this game have any possiblitilty... even through modding , of adding possible what ifs to the game? IE what if the Hitler regime falls and a new military Junta remakes the force pool.. or my favorite, what if given the above the war in the east actually becomes an anti Comunist liberation war with liberated nations slowly gaining streangth and adding troops to the force pools?
thanks.

I realize these are really sumed up in, can this beast be modded.. I doubt it but honestly its possible!
thanks for the time and thousands of hours put into this game by the members here.. it shows...

I remember in 08 09 this game in the develpment area wondering about it

thanks again for all!

Check the modding forum to see what you can do, however it will not go as far as you probably would like. About the liberation of the east, you can already "liberate" Ukraine as Germany by spending a offchit and loosing a SS unit (I think).

I'm pretty sure the Ukraine rule is not yet coded.

You can add units, change their factors, change unit colors, and change terrain pix. See the Mods sub-forum.

There's a game option to extend the game length. You cannot change who fights who of the major powers, but in theory you can force all the minor countries to be on any side you want. Doing super-non-historical things has probably not been tested and could result in a crash.

Also in the Global War scenario (and maybe others), you are in control of whether the USA or USSR even get into the war.

Loosing sounds fine to me, if he means letting loose the SS unit to do its dirty work [;)]

You have to remove one of each type of the SS units (one INF, one ARM, etc..) afaik. You gain the Ukraine forcepool in turn.

For the anit-commi scenario there is PatiF.

PaTiF is not part of MWiF.

Not currently included:

Days of Decision III (pre-1939)

America in Flames (post 1945)

Patton in Flames (post 1945)

Politics in Flames (adds complexity); units that do not need new rules are included (e.g., Guderian).

Leaders in Flames (adds complexity)

Factories in Flames (a new addition in 2008)

Understood.. since its all new these losses dont seem as reel as the would had I already been using them...
I may have found the money for this... now I must judge the commitment to multiplayer as solitaire is great but not the only thing I wanted..
