During this fall lineup? Civilization Beyond Earth looks pretty good to me.

Well I am hoping for the new Civ game. But I am also hoping to get Battle Academy 2.
Well actually, I am mainly hoping to find money fall out of the sky, because my expenses as they currently sit would likely require that to happen sadly. Oh well. I think a better eventuality would be for me to stop with the new game envy, and just play the ones I already have.
My 'not played often enough' wargames stash is actually bigger than my not read stack of books and my not finished collection of just about every one of my hobbies to be honest.
There eventually comes a point when I have to ask myself, why do I even need to care what new wargame hits the market. I can only fight WW2 so many different ways, and I have been acquiring wargames for too many years now. The things are like weeds
It remains to be seen what I think of Strategic Command 3. The first one is still actually a good design. I'm hoping the return to hexes makes a difference, because I sure hated the tiles of SC2.

Wargame, 05% of the time.
Play with Barbies 05% of the time.
Play with Legos 10% of the time.
Build models 20% of the time
Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

I joined the unwashed masses and bought a Playstation 4 last week, so far I've been enjoying Diablo 3 and am greatly looking forward to Destiny which comes out next week. Pretty sci-fi shooter with every sort of game mode you could want mixed in, including MMO stlye raids and loot.
On the wargaming front, I'm not really looking at anything in particular, I have far too many titles that I've barely played to justify anything new.

Likewise, although that's based on a fondness for Alpha Centauri rather than Civ 5. Pandora is surprisingly good competition, too.
I really, really hope they don't make a 'Colonial Marines' type pigs-ear of Alien: Isolation.

I'm enjoying it greatly so far. Smooth and fast, great controller, menu is similar to PS3 but better. You have to pay $50 a year for online multiplayer, but you get free (decent to really good) games every month, that stay on your account forever, so that's pretty nice. It also has all the apps and doo-dads you could want. I guess right now the real question would be if there are enough games out for it that you want to play.

Did they make it backwards compatible with the PS3?

Apparently not, which is something I had not realized until now. I had assumed otherwise. I guess I'll have to keep the PS3 around a bit longer, I still have some unfinsihed games for it.

So, one either stays with the PS3 or prepares to buy many of those old PS3 games again to work on the PS4. Money grab, money grab, money grab. Why must everything be about money? Any bets on the 1st PS3 game to be ported over to the PS4? My bets are on Assassin Creed games. Red Dead Redemption is a possibility since it was so popular on the PS3. Only way I'd ever buy a console though is if the entire matrixgames/slitherine catalog was ported over to them. At least most of the new ones (computers) will run the older games using things like DosBox or D-Fend Reloaded or some other emulator.

dying light tbh for fps, too many wargames in the making so won't say which one either, but any thats easy to learn, nice to look at, doesn't take as long to read manual as to finish for mission / turn...

I'm going to step outside the box a bit - well - way out really - and say I'm most looking forward to Paradox's Magicka 2.
