It's a largish torpedo boat or destroyer pre WWI. I give up at that point. I'm stumped. Maybe it's unique because it belonged to the Nepalese Navy?

Nope. I can't believe it. The forum is stumped. There's two clues in the OP.
1. She was truly unique.

My 1st guess was USS Stewart. But the above photo doesn't match any photo of her , in either USN or IJN colors. So I'm stumped. [:(]

Is she a Tribal (1905)? Certainly wouldn't be unique however.
