As a commander of 1001st PzGren "Wolves", I conferred with other platoon commanders, then we agreed to spread my small force(s)in order to confusing 1st GTR commanders, and then Marders and PanzerGreandiers try to lure element(s) of 1st GTR into the heavily wooded area in order to making every hit counted at point blank range. I decided to move 1st, 2nd, and 3rd platoon of Leopard 2A1 to hold the ground near by or around in Flammersbach due to the semi-open field. 3rd Platoon of Leopard 2A1 lost only 2 tank, but received three awards for effectiveness.

Screen, Screen, and Screen! Making every hits counted!

Now, 1001st PzGren is preparing for another round with Red Bear....

Dogma no idea how you managed that!! I killed more enemy than you in scenario 2 but they wiped me out below 30%. I got contested. How'd you manage to avoid casualties? Love to know how it seems you manager to avoid fighting for all those hours!! I'm prob being way to gung ho..must be that.

How many hours did you use to refit between scenarios..I took 19..maybe I gave them to much time aswell.

Your leagues better than me at this.

as KG wolves commander, I ordered all four strategic bridge(s) to be blown up in order to deny Soviets to gain an access to our left flank. Three platoon of Leopard 2A1 were deployed in Siershahn area/concentrated in south in order to search for a formation of convoy or T-72s in main highway near by bridges or target(s) of opportunity within range of Leopard 2A1's 120 mm Rhienmetall L55 smoothbore gun.

1/RC/1001 PG Bde (SpPz Luchs) move toward Moschheim, and then detected a large formations of convoy in south-east of Stahdt. 1/RC/1001 immediately notified HQ Artillery company 1001 of large formation of convoy that moving toward west near by Stahdt. HQ Artillery Company 1001 immediately ordered all three section of M109A3G to fire at high-payoff targets: Convoys. Eliminate Soviet HQs is Artilery company's secondary priority.

1/1/1001 Pg Battalion defend, and hold near by Ebernhan. Mission: Hold/defend/provide a support for Leopard 2A1 and eliminate Soviet Recon and HQ units. Formation of T-72 is secondary priority/target of opportunity.

2/1/1001 Pg Battalion defend, and hold near by Leutened. Mission: Hold/defend the blown up bridge, and deny Soviet elements to gain a foothold in our left flank.

3/1/1001 Pg Battalion defend, and hold near by Hundsdorf. Mission: Hold/defend and eliminate Soviet Recon and HQ units.

4/1/1001 Pg Battalion defend, and hold near by 2/1/1001 battle position. Mission: Hold, and provide a cover for 2/1/1001 Pg Battalion's left flank.

In after action report: Intelligence received a report from variety of information source that Soviet General was killed in action. 1001 Panzer Grenadier Bde successfully deny Soviet Convoy an access to west in order to reinforcing another Soviet formation(s) in west. Not a single Soviet unit successfully exit from the battlefield. Well done, Wolves, Well done!

1st Platoon Pz Co has earned 3 citations for effectiveness
2nd Platoon Pz Co has earned 2 citations for effectiveness.
3rd Platoon Pz Co has earned 4 citation for effectiveness.

Wodin: Screen, screen, and screen! change order to hold the ground if you think Soviet unit(s) is demoralized, and confused. Screen if you think Soviet Unit(s) is well-prepared and ready to fight back, and making every hit counted in order to frustrated them/slow them down.

In this scenario: only one hour to refit and replaced losses (in last scenario: 3 hours, I believe)

Yeah I was using hold way to much..started again using screen alot more.

Sill at the moment I've destroyed 1206 points of the enemy and he has destroyed 107 points yet still have 4.31 left to play in the first scenario!!

How did you go all that time with what must have been little contact? I'm suing screen alot more..but still seems to be engaging way more than you did..which is worrying me.

Wodin: In first scenario: I deployed PG Battalion(s) (Leg units with Marder) with "screen order" in heavily wooded area near by objective(s), and then try to entice Soviet Recon and HQs into the wooded area in order to making them to believe that they were facing pure-leg or recon units. Tracked or wheeled units will not maneuver well in the wooded area. Making every hit counted in point blank range. When firefight is getting little hot for their taste, 1001 Pz Bn will automatically retreat in order to break contact with Soviet units, and then notifying/communicate 1001 Pz Artillery company as 1001 Pz Bn pinpoint the target(s). If you believe that Soviet Unit(s) is being demoralized, immobilized and confused. Order Artillery Company to deploy Smoke near by them to screen 1001 Pz Bn's movement and to effectively blind Soviet unit(s), then you can re-deploy 1001 Pz Bn(s) to move back to old position, and then hit them once again. Platoon of Leopard 2A1 hold in the semi-opened field near by the objective (Flammerbachs. At first, I tried to claw in but after intense shooting with T-72s in north of Flammersbach, and then lost two Leopard 2A1 in process. I decided not to, and breaking contact with T-72s.

Remember 1001 PzGren is behind the line...

I received a report that 6 units have been reactivated. 39 fallen out sub-units have returned to duty and 8 replacement sub-units have been received at a cost of 11 hours.

KG Wolves are preparing for another round with NASTY red bear!

P.S. In last scenario, I decided not to write an after action report because it was bloody awful/complicated battlefield. Sorry, guys. I am still recovering from shell shocks [:D]

Contested battle.

In first hours, I ordered 3/1/1001 to blow up all four "strategic" bridges in near by Hundsdorf and Ransbach Baumbach, and then hold the ground near by bridges. I decided to move 1st, 2nd, and 3rd platoon of Leopard 2A1 in near by Sireshahn/concentrated their fire in south east of Sireshan and north of Wirges. 1/1/1001 Pg Bn deployed in right flank of 2nd platoon of Leopard 2A1 in order to provide a support. TA Jager 2 deployed near by Oberhr in order to protect 1001 Panzer Grenadier Bde's left flank. 4/1/1001 Pg Bn deployed near by Leutenod in order to cover all bridge(s) in order to deny Soviet formation(s) to gain an access to the bridge(s)

Surprisingly, Lepoard 2A1 and M109A3G ammunition start to running out quite quickly than I expected as T-55AMV and T-62MV continued to press on, and stubbornly clawing further in north of Wirges and near by Hundsdorf even after they already captured all objective(s). 1001 Pz Gren Bde headquater staff constantly informed me that Soviet Headquarter was detected, and then recommending me to switch all artillery fire at the suspected Soviet Headquarter, I decided not because T-55AMV/T-62MV/BMPs/BRDMs continued to press on, and clawing further in. In last two hours, 233rd Gds MRR fought well in north of Wirges, and refused to yielding. 233rd Gds MRR had force me to change from offensive to defensive in last hours. Soviet had an advantage in this battle: Mi-2URP-G Hoplite as I suspected that Soviet commander is using it to locate some of my formation(s) in north of Wirges as Mi-2URP-G Hoplite notify/updating of location of my formation(s) with their artillery commander(s).

Awful Tough battle. Approximately 190 tanks in total while I only had 11 Leopard 2A1, lost 6 Leopard 2A1 in last hours.

Greetings from the Inspectorate of the General Staff -

To: Colonel Bauer, commanding KG Wolves

* In the battle of "Wolves1" your forces worth 5,318 points obtained just 32% (3849 vs 8290) of awarded victory points against an enemy force worth 11,148. You should be aware that the Inspectorate considers your performance, on balance, to be tolerable.

* Your force has claimed 14 Recce, 59 Tank, 87 APC, 78 Inf, 13 AT, 26 HQ, 5 AD, 4 Arty and 12 Utility enemy subunits.

* Remaining force tally -
Active: 14 Recce, 13 Tank, 31 APC, 60 Inf, 33 HQ, 8 AD, 19 SP Arty and 51 Utility.
Fallen out: 1 Recce, 1 Tank, 8 APC, 7 Inf, 2 HQ and 2 SP Arty.
Destroyed: 2 Recce, 7 Tank, 12 APC, 2 Inf and 1 Utility.
