Does desert colonization really double continental growth?

Post by corwin90 »

I checked the population grown on a continental colony both before and after I finished researching desert colonization but cannot see any difference in the growth rate. Do you know if it works as advertised? How might I go about verifying it is actually working? Thanks!

It would show up in the displayed growth when the planet is selected.

Unfortunately, the double rate bonus from tech doesn't appear to work right now.

I have a thread reporting this already in tech support, for anybody who finds this isn't working, please supplement that thread.

This is a fairly important bug given the (good IMO) nerf to low tax population growth. In the AI Improvement Mod the AI's are more aggressive about Wonders which is particularly noticeable on the higher difficulties. As a result this particular population growth bonus becomes more important.
