Uruguay

Good luck Italy looked good against England but they Uruguay is a strong team. South America (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay. Columbia)is field some outstanding squads that are running rings around the old European clubs

Hope your Father gets well soon and enjoy London, GJ.

From an Arsenal perspective I will be watching Joel Campbell and Costa Rica vs Italy today, but I won't be pulling against you. IMHO Italy is looking very good to advance and has the benefit of flying under the radar a bit so far. Good luck going forward!

April 12-24, 1942

Ok, back from London!

Had a very good time with Obvert at Wimbledon. We also watched the Italy-Uruguay match together in a pub...wasn't exactly a good match for us[:@]

Anyway, the game resumes!

Not much happened in the last 10 days.

I'm not advancing anymore. The tide has stopped. We're now consolidating our perimeter.

KB1 is approaching Singapore. Will move to India asap. Recent Obvert's interest in Diego Garcia and the presence of several PBYs operating in the last base in allied hands in SW India force me to take some countermeasures.

The 21st Army is getting ready to move to Lashio and Western China.

At least 5 new divisions are unloading in Luzon. Supplies seem to have vanished from Manila-Clark, so I believe it's the right moment for the final attack.

Sending several regiments to Horn Island and Mereuake.

The 90th Rgt is moving to Ponape.

Planning to land a division at Diego in the next 30 days.

The flow of oil and fuel to the HI goes pretty well.

As soon as Luzon is over, I will launch a Chinese offensive. Prepping my air force for that.

Welcome back and Banzai!

No idea what to say about Italy - Uruguay. Bizarre and sad moment for football regardless of what nation you support.

On with the war. What are your plans for the China offensive?

The new offensive in China will be the following:

At first an all out attack against Psisiang. I have bought 5 heavy artillery units from Manchuria and they, with 5 tank regiments, are now moving to the area.
The units are all 100% prepped. AFs have been built very close to the Changsha area.
I will use all the power of 200 bombers and 100 fighters.
At the same time, 8 Divisions, once Luzon is conquered, will be moved to the Nanning area, from where we'll start a second front.
Always at the same time, the 21st Army (composed of 4 IDs) will march towards Lashio and Paoshian, supported by 80 fighters and 200 more bombers.
I do think that, having cut completely the connection between China and India, Erik won't be able to defend succesfully the skies of China.
AFAIK he only has an AVG Group in China and nothing more.
Once the air space is mine, China will have hard times defending a good coordinated multi-front advance

Atleast that's what i hope...[:D]

April 26, 1942

April is running fast and without much happening.
4 new divisions are unloading in Luzon. 2 more are coming in the next 2 weeks. 150k supplies will be sent there to support the final offensive against Clark and Manila. Am sure now that the supplies there have gone. Good. Attacks will start soon.
In may we're gonna finally have the Tojo, the A6M3 and the Nick in production. The A6M3a is already been researched. The hope. Is to get to the A6M5 by december 42.
Horn island is getting 2 mixed Bdes, 3 AA units ( fielding pieces of 75, 8.8 and 105 mm guns), 2 ind. engineers rgts and one big base force.
Diego will get the same treatment and so will Ponape.
Wake has been reinforced.
Already building a defensive line in India. Madras will be defended heavily and so will be Assam, where i want to lure him to attack... I have some plans for a massive counteroffensive here once he starts to advance...
Ceylon must become a fortress.

It seems a very smart and innovative strategy to advance early against Allies in India and Australia when they’re so weak and concentrate on China (and Luzon) only later. Now China is completely isolated and even if they could entrench and restore to same degree in these months I believe they cannot resist to your four sperheads. Very smart, I never saw it before

What are your future plans with thrusts 2 & 3? I know what I'd do, but I want your thinking...

The idea is to cut on Kunming. With the 21st Army pushing from the West, the arrival of a tank corp on the road between Kweiyang and Kunming should put a huge pressure on China High Command.
Hopefully this threat would force him to abbandon the Center (Changsha basin) and concentrate on defending the Chungking plans.
The Whole strategy is aimed to make the front move again, rather than conquest a particular base, and if i manage to block the road from Kweyang to Kunming, then the Sector between Kunming and Paoshan could be doable
