Speeding up game framerate

Post by buglepong »

When I mouse over populated worlds i get massive framerate hits, especially with fighters around.

Is there any way to get around this? I cant even look at my homeworld anymore

Could you provide your system specs for perusal? Operating system, amount of Ram installed, etc.
It would help.
Shields are useless in "The Briar Patch"...

To be honest even with a beast of an i5, you're going to get slowdowns. My 3570K still takes a suckerpunch on planets with lots of ship traffic.

I5 3570, 8 gig ram, w7 64, radeon 7870xt

I do spam alot of fighters on my bases though, but they are the best for bases since i play on higher difficulty

Anything moving will cause lag in large doses. Not a surprise, but a big drop to around 15 FPS would raise alarm. Try slowing the game speed, that may help.
