Red Dotted Arrows - Fleet Posture

I have automated fleets. And I recently attacked another empire and then red dotted lined arrows appeared.

I believe that this indicated that a fleet has been set on the attack and that the line starts at the home base and points to the target.

However, I do not understand how I determine what fleet that actually represents. IOW one end points to the target and the other to the home base, but nothing points to the actual fleet.
