Country Management?

Post by kirk23 »

I have a serious question for all gamers here on the GTGW forum. The question is this, what do you guys think off the radical idea, that Research does not start automatically with active Labs?

In the game at the present time, all the Major Powers start with 5 Active Research Labs, which cost your Country in the region of 5 PPs per Tech Researched, that is 25 PPs more you could allocate where ever you see fit.

Areas of Research : Land,Artillery,Naval,Air & Armour.

Now lets assume when you start the game,it is you, who makes the decision where to spend your Countries PPs.[;)]

I think letting players decide their own research efforts is fine, but I would give a lower priority to that change versus other things we discussed. When the game announces that a new research area is now active I simply decide if I want to pursue it for each country and if not I go to the Research tab and close the lab.

Does that mean there would not be free labs at different game turns?

Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb -- they're often students, for heaven's sake. - Terry Pratchett
