Faster Ruins Checking

Post by MoloMowChow »

So currently, the fastest way for me to check out all known Ancient Ruins in my galaxy is to open up the Galaxy map, select Ancient Ruins in the drop down menu, click on any yellow dot on the map, click the "Go to Select Ruin" button, zoom aaaaall the way in, look for the 3 dots, click on the moon/planet, click on the ruin icon on the bottom left to see if it's explored or not.

This is tedious for ancient ruin hunting. I was expecting that all I needed to do was, after clicking the yellow dot on the galaxy map, the details of the planet&ruin are on the right side of the map window, but clicking on the ruin icons there to check the ruins doesn't do it. Am I missing something or are ruins really this tedious to check?

I just need a quicker way to check which ruins I have and have not explored. Maybe in the drop down menu for Ancients Ruins you can have another drop down menu next to it to select All Ruins, unexplored ruins, and explored ruins. This would make it similar to the resources checking in the same Galaxy Map window, which has an additional drop down menu for all the resources in the game.

Actually it would be nice if the details window for planets with ruins would specify if the ruin was explored or not. Simply displaying the bonus from the ruins would do the trick. If the ruin is explored, there's a specific percentage. If not, there's either "unknown" or "+ ?%".

Oh, but by the way, you can get to the selected ruin fairly quickly by double-clicking on the yellow dot in the system map part of the galaxy map.
