RE: GD38 Game 10 AAR
The Foreign Office of the European Union expresses sorrow at the purchase of Holland by the British Empire. Border guards in Germany noticed an immediate increase in Military presence across the border. There is no excuse for the rabid capitalists to suborn Holland, and it is feared an attack on the EU is imminent. The nations of the EU will take action to defend themselves.
The Chancellor commented on the bloc forming in the West, with Franco-British domination from Gibraltar to Amsterdam. This enslavement to the forces of capital must end, and Europe must resist false prophets to east and west.
We will join the Soviets in hearty laughter when they see fit to demilitarize. The submarines off the Rumanian coast would be a good start.

In the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics life is fine. Our children are being taught the lessons of the revolution, and by the principles of these Lenin, from beyond the grave, guides the Soviet Union to a better more prosperous future.

RE: GD38 Game 10 AAR
The European Union is effectively on a war footing.
With the inclusion of Hungary, warmly welcomed into the EU, the encroachments by Great Britain and France are even more burdensome. Poles and Czechs in the East are given notice that our troops are on full, offensive alert. In the West Holland, under British sway is also given notice. Now is the time for these nations to peacefully join the EU.
Troops in the east report Soviet forces in strength on the borders. Adjustments inside Europe should not worry the Soviet Union, and negotiations over spheres of influence may clear the air. The Chancellor invites Comrade Stalin to enter bi-party confidential talks.
The European Union regrets that necessity may lead to use of force, but reserves the right to initiate military action to protect European interests.

While the Roman Catholic Child Prince, and the Pope in Italy, decide their course of action, for the so called European Union, peace reigns in the Peoples Paradise, the Soviet Union. The great strides being made by the Socialist Soviets, would not be possible were it not for the strong backbone of the country: Its people, the Workers and Peasants.

RE: GD38 Game 10 AAR
United Europe is at war. After ample warning, and a declaration of war EU troops entered Poland and Holland.
In Poland we met with some success, our air forces and artillery helping to keep casualties low. We captured Lvov, Danzig, and Poznan. The Polish air force is still based in Warsaw, and they have significant strength.
In the West our troops pushed into Amsterdam, and the ample forces we found in Holland confirmed that recalcitrant England and France were up to no good. British forces remain in Holland, but cannot easily be extracted. The Belgians are not at war, and will not allow passage. We did not choose to enter Luxembourg, Belgium or Czechoslovakia. The capture of Amsterdam was so swift that we destroyed some ships in port there, and some aircraft we caught at their bases.
Chancellor Ratzinger has stated that we must complete the integration of Poland and Holland into the Union as soon as possible. We do not know if Britain and France want to continue the conflict or not. We have business to complete now that arms are in play.
The Chancellor has communicated with Comrade Stalin about the activity in Poland, and has assured him that the Union does not wish to cause the Soviet Union any discomfort. Special teams of border police have been dispatched to keep the peace. All aircraft are given strict RoE to avoid Soviet air space. Soviet border guards are handling the flood of Poles entering the USSR well.

While the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics hate the thought of war, the Men of the RKKA (the Soviet Army) is ready to fight, if need be. The same goes for the VVS (the Soviet Airforce) and the VMF (the Soviet Navy). Our forces are put on high alert, and are ready for what may come, if it comes. Parades showing our strength are being held, so no-one can doubt the power that is the Soviet Union. The Peoples paradise is still preparing for the Olympics however, and gymnastics, is appreciated, and encouraged. Many are the sports arenas that have been put up, to allow for these, friendly exercises in masculinity.

The people of Latvia reached out to the Peoples paradise, and asked them to liberate them from the Capitalists that had taken control of their leadership. The Soviet forces acted quickly and along with the Peoples Free Army liberated the country in a matter of weeks. Latvia is now a Soviet Republic, and Stalin is pleased. It is estimated that many more countries will find the way of Communism soon, and will either join, on their own, or be liberated, by the Soviet Unions liberation armies.

The Soviets have taken Latvia, and are at war with France and Great Britain. We expect this to be a conflict of consequence. Chancellor Ratzinger welcomes Bulgaria into the union, and notices yet another border in which the EU and USSR face each other.
In the West the British opened a backdoor for their troops in Holland by suborning Belgium. Our troops entered Belgium promptly and managed to take Brussels, but not Antwerp. The Kriegsmarine challenged the British blockade.
In the East tough fighting brought us to the suburbs of Warsaw and Vilnius.

The US begins rearming after years of isolationism. There is still a bent to the Country that wants to remain isolated but the Government is working on that. The plight of the Chinese seems to hit a nerve with the US population and the renewed aggression of Germany has not gone unnoticed.

The Poles are done with their French inspired resistance, and can now begin the process of integrating with their neighbors. Slovakia has also been subdued, and we expect the Czechs will not be far behind. This will complete the integration of central Europe.
In the west, Belgium has ceased resistance and Antwerp is rid of the French and British. The military was interested by the very large air force the British have amassed. The EU air forces do not approach the density the British, and French have shown. This is something which must be addressed. We have fine aircraft but not enough of them This war came very early, and as we had so much to do to pull the Union together we are not prepared for all facets of modern warfare. The struggle with the Franco-British allies will require dexterity on our part.
In the east we see the Soviets advancing into the Baltic nations. This is a cumbersome border for us, but we will maintain garrisons in the east. We see no sign the USSR is seeking to join the EU, and expect to maintain at best a guarded peace with them. The Soviets are not a friendly state, and have their own interests to pursue, as do we. It remains to be seen if these interests conflict.
In the Far East we maintain friendly relations with all parties, with little involvement either way. It would, perhaps, be in our interests if Japan would turn her attention to Western assets, distracting the French and British, but the Japanese Empire takes its own counsel.

What Glorious news that the Peoples paradise can report! Estonias people rose up against their tyrants, and with the help of the Soviet Liberation army, the leadership has been changed. Estonia is now a Soviet Socialist Republic. Welcome to the Union. The fate of the leaders in Estonia, seemed to have a profound effect on the government of Lithuania, that decided to join the Soviet Union outright, without a fight! In the far east Mongolia also decided that joining the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was in their best interest. The Soviet Union and comrade Stalin wishes to congratulate each and every new member citizen of the greatest country in the world!

The US announces a ship building plan, a need for more merchant Marine and added naval forces has brought the US Government to the realization that depending on Civilian shipyards is not enough. Over the next couple of years the Government will create and staff their own shipyards and provide the needed space to modernize the US Naval force and to increase the merchant marine.

The Czechs are proving recalcitrant, as we fully expected. We put off our intervention there because we felt Poland must come first. Next month we will be able to bring more pressure to bear.
In the west we moved forces for an assault on Lille, and did a quick attack on forces northeast of Le Havre, pushing the enemy back, but not occupying the ground. The Royal Navy is off the coast, and the powerful RAF is ready to prey. Submarine battles off the coast of Norway are going on, and we are raiding supplies in that area.
In the east the complex border with the Soviet Union has been garrisoned. We notice the Western Allies have offered to make peace with the USSR now that the Baltic countries have been taken. We will be interested in the Soviet response.
We are in the interesting position of researching and building our forces in the midst of a major campaign. Chancellor Ratzinger has called on United Europe to put forward a great effort, but to harness the peoples productivity actually takes a big investment in new machine tools and plant, and that is difficult to prioritize while actively campaigning.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, home of the Peoples Paradise, welcomes the Finnish people to their midst. Together we will be stronger, than apart. Seeing the might of the Soviet Peoples Army, the British and French chose to go to peace with the Peoples Paradise. We welcome peace, we are not at all interested in War.
