Use The Move Fast Command For Soldiers Easier

When using the move fast command, don't rush your troops through brush and hedgerows, the faster they run through
them the more winded they will become when reaching their destination. At the destination a soldier that's winded can't shoot or move as accurate as a soldier who didn't have to plow through the stuff. Use shift and create numbered dots to follow an obstacle free path to the hedgerow or building.
You might need to use smoke from a mortar or other soldiers suppressing the building, as your are not following cover. Have a suppression team that fires from cover and a separate rushing team. A machine gun team or tank is an excellent suppression team. The suppressed enemy troops are now easy targets for the rushing team especially when they arrive and have a close range weapon like the thompson or mp40. They will a arrive to a cowered enemy who may even totally give up. I tested this up to 134 meters on a road with absolutely none of the soldiers winded when arriving at the building.

Also for the assaulting team check that they have a full magazine or "clip" on their weapons BEFORE running them. Is hard to do math on the fly when in the middle of the battle to know if they are using a full or almost empty clip.

So better play it safe and before assaulting, use suppressive fire on a building or something until at least your SMG guys are status "Reloading", after they finish reloading you are free to send them to spray led on your suppressed enemy.

Otherwise they might enter the building or arrive at destination and instead of dealing death they start "reloading" after a few shots, leaving them vulnerable and you wondering how that suppressed 2 man MG team killed your full healthy rifle team.

Yes that also. Usually my suppression team always becomes pinned from an mg42 from a different area other than the building they are firing on spoils the whole rush and I have to use a tank. The mg42s sure do like the attics.

Use squads in pairs. Have one squad suppress the enemy as the other moves forward. Leap frog until both squads are within assault distance. Place the "assaulting" squad on Ambush until ready to make the assault. Charge towards the enemy position and if it stalls, switch to your other squad to make the assault. Keep in mind, timing you assault is important. You want to catch he enemy while they are reloading.
