Charity Game Sale...

Post by JudgeDredd »

In the past, given games away.

Well - a small change in tact. I'm doing a couple of charity rides this year.

One is a 75 mile bicycle ride for Aged UK on 26th July. I didn't set a target too high - £150 and thanks to some very kind people I have now exceeded that limit to the tune of £185. Thank you

My other charity ride is a 60 mile bicycle ride for a local charity - St Helena's Hospice. I have also set a target of £150 for this, but as is always the case, charity being requested can get tiresome. We are all taxed financially for varying reasons and I understand this.

However, I do need to try and get some money for the charity - so - I thought I might change tact a bit and rather than ask for charity, I would sell a few games I have and request the money be paid to my charity bicycle ride.

Enough rambling....to the point...

I am doing a 60 mile bicycle ride called the Tour de Tendring on the 11th May for a local hospice - St Helena's Hospice. In order to try and garner some money for the charity, I've decided to sell a few games.

It's with a heavy heart that I've specified a cost for said games...but I really need to try and raise some money for this charity - and these are games I very much enjoy

The charity page is here http://www.justgiving.com/William-Riley-TourdeTendring and you only have to deposit the funds when I have successfully passed the game to you.

These are Matrix Games (when will Steam EVER let us pass on unused items!) and might be registered to me - but I believe all that will stop you getting is beta patches. The games and the keys will be deleted when they are sold.

These are all slightly cheaper than buying new and are digital download (savings are approximate). I know you all love a bargain and could easily wait for the Matrix sale and get these cheaper - but it's for a very good cause

Civil War II:The Bloody Road South - £15 ($25)
Qvadriga - £5 ($8) (UNDER OFFER)
Flashpoint Campaigns:Red Storm - £20 ($34) (SOLD)
John Tillers Panzer Battles:Battles of Kursk - Southern Flank - £15 ($25) (I have emailed JT to see if this is possible...I don't know)
Mark Walkers Heroes of Stalingrad - £15 ($25)
War in the Pacific:Admirals Edition - £30 ($50)
War in the East - £30 ($50) (generously offered by Steve58 - please contact Steve58)
Schwerpunkt Anglo-German War - £15 ($25) (generously offered by Steve58 - please contact Steve58) (UNDER OFFER)
Battles in Italy - £15 ($25) (generously offered for sale by TacticalWargames)

The only one I'm not sure of is the JT game and I have emailed them to ask.

Thanks for even bothering to read all this - apologies for the rambling.

If you can't get it to show, you can make a paypal payment to my paypal account and I'll put it on for you if you'd be happy to do that. I'll post a pic of your donation when I put the payment on for proof

sounds good. Looks like i have to put in your email address or mobile phone number attached to your paypal account to send it.Thank you for your patience I've never sent money through paypal other than online shopping. I would of PM'd you but i see no PM icon under your name. So however you want to get me hooked up with your paypal is fine i'll send it right off.

Here's what shows for me.

Thx for your efforts. Hospice is an idea i support, the dignity and respect they provide in very difficult end of life situations is invaluable.

Agathosdaimon was interested in it - but I haven't heard anything from him....so...

Are you in the US? If so, please pm me (which I have re-enabled for the moment) your address and I'll pass it on to steve58. If not, I'm afraid he was only willing to ship in the US as it's a physical product - not a download.

As for Qvadriga - please pm me your email address and I'll send you the link and the key

Thanks

Closing this up now.

Thanks for reading and thanks to people who donated with and without taking a game.

I have now met my target and therefore will keep the games I have left. I lost my beloved Flashpoint Campaigns:Red Storm but kept Mark's LnL Heroes of Stalingrad.

Thanks everyone.

I love you all

Special mention to:
Steve58 @Grogheads - thank you so much for offering your games. I think someone is interested in the Anglo-German game on Matrix but he hasn't come back to me yet.
TacticalWargamer @Grogheads - thank you also for your Battles in Italy offer. It wasn't taken up and I haven't downloaded it from the link you gave me - so it's yours still. Thanks again.
**budd** who made a donation with no game taken. Thank you sir.
