Why SST J1 are made for ?

Post by Gaspote »

hi,
playing as jap I noticed J1 class SS can upgrade to a J1 class SST although the cargo space is reduce [&:]
I noticed allied SST have troop space and good cargo space but what the point for jap ?
Only late war SST seems to have a correct cargo space.

So am I missing something, do there are others bonus for SST ?

The Japs made them like this to transport supplies to their islands late in the war. The cargo space is correct all the way through.

Also, if you look at it more closely, the J1 reverts to SS in its last upgrade. That's why it has less cargo space.

Very expensive cargo though ... costs a lot of fuel to move a little supply. Works though.

Didn't say it was a good idea, but it was probably the only thing they could do.
