Airpower question...

Piercing Fortress Europa is a new game from veteran game designer Frank Hunter, which covers the campaigns of the Western Allies from July, 1943 through the end of April, 1945 in Sicily and Italy. Each area has its own map and time scale to best represent the campaigns for Sicily and Italy and the player is offered complete freedom, limited only by a historical order of battle and logistics model, to plan his operations and explore all of the many “what ifs” that the Italian theater has to offer.

Hi again,
Does allocated air superiority points have an effect on'interdiction' and 'ground support'?

Example... if the Allies allocate 10pts to air superiority and the Axis allocates 6 pts to interdiction and 4 to ground support does the fact that the Allies have achieved Air superiority negate the Axis edge in the other areas?

If you have 10 points on air superiority then those 10pts can attack enemy aircraft. First they would attack any German air points on Air Superiority. After that, surviving Allied air superiority points would attack German Ground Support, Interdiction and then air points attacking a port.

The Axis starts with 10 airpower in the campaign. Is it beneficial to not commit them right away so you can add 1-2 as reinforcements to possibly improve the air superiority odds? Any Axis air strategy ideas would be appreciated.
