Weird Combat Result

Post by Oshawott »

Can someone explain this result. This is an 89 morale unit in light urban terrain during blizzard. How can the modified CV be negative. We are both playing with .14.

Please ask your opponent if he has any saves of his turn prior to this combat, and attach any such to this thread as .zip attachment.

Thanks to both of you for responding. This is indeed a very nasty bug. I am glad that it has already been recognized and will be fixed.

As always, is this a mistaken representation, or the actual factor used in combat resolution?

And, who knows what the algorithms are anyway. You were attacked by 2.5 times men, etc. makes sense that you would retreat at some point...

Myself, I wouldn't notice the issue, but each to their own game.

I did not actively save any turns but does the game do an autosave ?

This is a bad bug and I think that it should be reason for another hotfix, but I don't want to test 2by3 patience.

They should be happy that you are willing to fix these bugs. This one is really, really bad.

There is a chance for a quick hotfix for this very important bug. I am now testing it.

A test scenario involved placing Grossdeutschland in Warsaw in level 5 fort. Before fix:

It was easy to fix the sum total and combat outcome, but it turned out that it's not easy to fix unit list entry negative CV. Will take two days to iron this out.

Fixed.

Dense terrain modifier is now also correctly included in initial combat values.
