How is the Cavalry model?

I am thinking of buying Gettysburg with Brandy Station. So. I am wondering about the cavalry.

Does it work well and reasonably represent the abilities of Cavalry at that time?

I went ahead and bought Gettysburg tonight and so I will eventually find out about it. I am just learning the commands now.

Do you know of any must haves for Mods and Scenarios?
