Looking for opponent preferably Allied

I have been playing the AI for 3 or 4 years and now I am ready to take the plunge. I am looking to begin a GC as Japan but I have never PBEM'd before. I know it would be better if I started with one of the shorter scenario and get to know my opponent before moving on to a GC scenario.

Perhaps, I can learn from an experienced player. I have played the AI as Japan and Allies but it is obvious that the AI can only get so creative.

I will be retiring in about a month and hope to then have enough time to play at least a turn every other day.

Don't know much about DaBabes. I am familiar with the stock version and prefer historical.

I would be interested in playing as the allies...very interested indeed. I am willing to play stock/historical and am good for multiple turns most days.
