Finish line

I couldn't find a topic for short questions like this one:
I had a really close finish with another chariot. My horses reached the line first, but his chariot was ahead of me when it reached the finish line. And so he came in ahead of me in the results.
I assume the finish order is decided by either the auriga or some center point of your chariot maybe? Which point should I watch for to be in front of my opponents?

You are correct, the front of the chariot is used. A close finish, I've never seen one so tight!
