The battle of Medjerda is almost forgotten, but was fought against highly disciplined German troops and blasted a route straight to Tunis it was a perfect infiltration battle and should be remembered as the best fought British battle of the war.

The crossborder shelling along the DMZ continues,USAF and USN aircraft continue to target NVA Arty positions but to little effect,The USMC and ARVN ground units are starting to feel the effects of the prolonged shelling.

Turn 22 December 1966

US troop levels reach 385.000,Ive certainly got a massive advantage in units at the moment as more arrive from the US including the 199th Lt Inf Bde and units from US 9th Infantry Div.
The USMC 3rd Marines near the DMZ again battle it out with the NVA Heavy Arty barrages from both sides US Airpower strikes NVA targets on the DMZ.
In the Pleiku/Ia Drang valley area US and ROK forces are in action against the NVA 3rd Division i will drive them over the border before the next monsoon.

Turn 23 January 1967

The cross border Arty strikes continue along the DMZ,NVA rocket arty is spotted near the Ashau vally maybe its time to plan for a cross border raid and see if i can destroy some of this troublsome artillery.
The US and ROK forces in the central highlands have all but driven the NVA 3rd Division across the border in good time realy as the ROK Tiger and ROK 9th Divisions are about to be withdrawn leaving the US 1st Air Cav/US 4th Infantry plus a brigade of ROK Marines to keep control of the area.
In the Saigon/Delta area the ARVN Marines are digging in to rest and regroup although a fierce battle has broken out between the ARVN 147 Marine Bde and VC Main force units near Quang Long,The US 173rd Airborne Bde has helilifted in to help out.

Turn 24 February 1967

The An Lo Valley is the target of US 4th Infantry division units with support from ARVN Rangers the VC 2nd Regiment is engaged and destroyed. The Ia Drang vally area is cleared of NVA and VC,Im moving the US 199th Light Infantry Brigade towards Kontum area to replace the withdrawing ROK divisions(not sure if this is historical but the 9th division only arrived 6 months ago it seems odd for both divisions to withdraw at the same time)

Mmmm game over the VC/NVA have being driven out and the Free world forces have an overwhelming victory,The VC/NVA where to easy to kill and once SV was cleared out there was no way back against the masses of US/ARVN forces.

Thanks

Ian
