PBEM Sequence of Play

Piercing Fortress Europa is a new game from veteran game designer Frank Hunter, which covers the campaigns of the Western Allies from July, 1943 through the end of April, 1945 in Sicily and Italy. Each area has its own map and time scale to best represent the campaigns for Sicily and Italy and the player is offered complete freedom, limited only by a historical order of battle and logistics model, to plan his operations and explore all of the many “what ifs” that the Italian theater has to offer.

PBEM Sequence of Play

Post by Michael T »

Is the sequence of play for PBEM like this?

1. Allied orders sent to German player.

2. German orders sent to Allied player.

3. Allied player executes turn. Sends next orders to German and so on.

This sequence prevents cheating. Is it like this?

Yes, this is the turn sequence. The first turn processed by the players has no playback as there is nothing to watch, but starting with turn 2, the turns and combat results from the previous turns play out. I tried to find ways of cheating while play testing and didn't find any, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
