* Major new simulation feature: Payload weight & drag affects the aircraft fuel consumption. You can test this easily by e.g. assigning two identical aircraft to a patrol, one heavily armed and one lightly loaded, and comparing their endurance & range figures.

* New major UI option: No-pulse map update (YES by default). To toggle: Game -> Game Options -> Check/uncheck "No-pulse map update".

Enabling this option leads to two changes:
* At any time acceleration setting, the map & UI do not refresh every second but every 0.1 sec.
* The sim engine executes each turn not in "pulsing" mode (to emulate Harpoon's presentation), but as fast as possible.

The net result of these changes is that at time acceleration (particularly at high values, e.g. 1:30 or 1:60 sec) the map updates much more smoothly and the overall game speed is significantly improved.

To retain the "traditional", Harpoon-style pulsing map refresh set this option to OFF.

* Ctrl + left-Click and Move will create a new waypoint. Note that the player has to move the mouse 4 pixels for the new waypoint to be created, as per design.

* Includes the latest versions of the DB3000 & CWDB.

If payload now affects fuel consumption, is there/will there be an option to jettison fuel tanks?

Well, I'll at least play it before I complain...

Something is wrong with time accelleratio. 1:1 is OK, but 1:5 is running at something like 1:50 as best as I can estimate.

The game now runs in no pulse mode. So acceleration doesn't work like it did. Its more like stepping down on the gas rather than shifting gears. You should see a major bump in performance.

If you go back to pulse mode in game options it will run traditionally.

So what does acceleration do? Should I not use it in no-pulse mode?

The options dialog says only "in-time acceleration"...what does that mean.

btw, performance is outstanding now.

It now runs extremely well even on my tiny Dell 8" tablet. Performance is really excellent - great idea with the no-pulse thing.

Command during toilet breaks? Yes, we got ourselves a paradigm shift here - the shi**er will never be the same again!

Outstanding job!

At first run through, mine clearing looks to be working much better.

Thanks.

Both were added a few builds back - just double-checked and they're there.

What version of the database are you using?

Remember, you typically need to view the latest DB from the Scen Editor. Viewing it from a Scenario just shows you the DB used to create that scenario (or it's latest update).
