ATG Mind Maps

Post by Tac2i »

I thought I'd teach myself mind mapping and ATG was my first exercise. I used SimpleMind on my Android tablet to create it. Also installed Xmind on my Windows machine. It is an interesting way to view ATG.

High resolution SimpleMind: ATG Mind Map (updated 3/07/14 13:10 GMT)

High resolution Xmind*: ATG Mind Map (larger image of one displayed below - updated 6/12/14 15:00 GMT)

High resolution Xmind: ATG Random Game Settings (uploaded 07/31/15 19:30 GMT)

High resolution Xmind: ATG Multi-Player (uploaded 12/14/15)

High resolution Xmind: ATG Unit Attributes (uploaded 3/04/14 02:30 GMT) (note: shows my NATO unit counter vice the default unit counter)

High resolution Xmind: ATG 2.20 Tank Modeling (uploaded 6/12/14 23:30 GMT)

*Exported from SimpleMind in FreeMind format, then imported into Xmind (that's a lot of minds!)

Below image is an XMind lowres representation. See high resolution image for latest version.

Wow. Now try mindmapping the strategic possibilities [:D]
Really I would never have thought of doing this, indeed ATG is a game played on a screen but most of it is really a mental proces in your head. And it is exactly like you paint there, never thought mindprocesses looked like bubblegums though. [;)] I'd probably use different colours and maybe a different tree system, but the idea is the same. I did the same thing when I studied Philosophy; break it into manageable parts and then make a mental picture of it.

I did learn something new today...."mind map". Gonna have to google that one.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Those maps should be in the manual. Or maybe (updated) in a new manual for the updated AT Platinum. Very cool for newbs and veteran players alike.

Wow, cool. One more layer added and you got the same thing as the Civilization Encyclopedia, an in-game encyclopedia where you can look up all the stats, the pros and cons and whatnot of units. Especially for beginners it would be a nice addition *if* they would be able to "right-click" on an unit to find out its stats and such (what does an torpedo bomber do?)
