Color scheme

Post by Arkady »

Hi,
I suppose that change to Windowed mode should correct the glitch with cahnging Windows colour scheme to khaki...

Despite the new version when I alt-tab, dialog boxes, list boxes and other items outside the game are painted brown when runnig East Front

Yes, you are right. While in-game, the game border colors bleed over to other non-game windows. When you exit the game, however, the default window colors should be restored everywhere.

If I'm not mistaken, with 1.04 and before, on game exit the non-game window colors remained khaki etc.

So, we've made progress towards fixing this bug, it's an improvement, but we're not quite there yet. Sorry!

this is a shot in windows explorer [win7 home] when i click to highlight desktop this flashes for a moment, only seems to do it when i highlight desktop in windows explorer not when i highlight anything else so far. This shot was hard to capture because it only flashes for a moment.

It would require days of study, coding, and testing to sort out this issue -- days better spent working on more vexing problems, and new features. It is extremely hard to fix a problem that we ourselves don't see. (I have systems running Windows 7, 8.1 & XP. Other dev team members have the same. With a wide range of video cards, drivers, Windows updates, system configs, etc., etc.) Dealing with these sorts of problems -- it's enough to drive one batty! So, in the end, we beg your indulgence, and ask that you just learn to live with it. Like we all learn to live with so many other IT annoyances, Windows Annoyances especially.

No worries, it clears up on a reboot and isn't really that bothersome. Thanks for all your work.
