Leadership modifiers???

Post by treespider »

Yes I've been away for awhile and haven't had a lot of free time for the game...so over the long snowy weekend with a holiday to boot I decided to run some tests to reacquaint myself with the systems in preparation for implementing some significant changes for my China mod.

To conduct the tests I am using a heavily modded sandbox.

In this particular test using 1.7.11.23u I have placed a test Chinese unit (loc 7880) with 100 squads and 100 support into hex 168,187 a single hex jungle island. The unit is given 99 morale, 99 exp and 99 readiness for its location. Has 750 supply and the base has 1000 supply. A leader (20400) with 99 in all his attributes is assigned. I give the unit the order to Deliberate Attack.

An unmodified Japanese brigade has been co located in the hex and has orders to defend.

In test after test the attacker continues to receive the "Attacker: leaders(-)" notification.

I know I've been away for awhile...so what am I overlooking?

Yes it would be nice to know what determines the + or - given to leaders in ground combat. Even in vague terms.

I don't really care what determines the (+) or the minus (-) I just want to make sure it is WAD. I presumed with a 'maxed out' unit I would see fewer (-) and more (+)...

Nevermind...ran some more tests and appears I hit an anomaly with the first few runs... the last several tests have produced more (+) or blanks than (-).
