Tutorial instruction overlays obstruct map more than they should

Post by Westheim »

I had a hard time with the tutorials because of the instruction overlays. I get that units under the overlay should not be clickable, but I had a hard time clicking anything in the tutorials, because even if units were next to the overlays, they were still not clickable. I don't know whether the actual issue is my §$&##§! laptop, but the red outline in the pic shows about which area of the screen is inaccessible in the tutorials - to me, at least.

Even though the SdKfz appears to be clickable. Nope. No luck. I had about 1 1/2 hexes of space between the overlay and the tool bar that I could actually work with.

Tom,

I encountered the same problem
1600 X 900(native) NVidia GTX 560m
all system drivers up to date

Awesome, awesome game btw. Yesterday, my professor could not quite understand what could possibly posses a 50+
year old man to stay up all night before class playing a computer game [X(]. "Well ya see Professor, there was this
little girl in the line of fire and I'll be darned if I could sleep until I successfully rescued her, poor thing.
That one Russian half squad just kept firing through her hex killing her, over and over again, every time I
replayed the scenario.
Oh, any chance of getting out of class early today she's still stuck in that building at D7 and needs my help?"

Thanks - the window is shorter when you're less than 1024 pixels Y, it sounds like it might be leaving the clickable area the original size. Will look into it, thanks for reporting!

So far the only issue I've seen that gives me pause is this one. My desktop, laptop and tablet all run at 1366 x 768. Is this an issue for anyone with this resolution, or just some users?

Thanks
Rick

Thanks Richtschnur, I think I better wait and see if anyone with 1366 x 768 are playing before I buy. I don't need a lot of screen room, but if the info windows block selections that could be a real problem. On my desktop, I could increase the resolution, but then my old eyes have trouble seeing some things at higher resolutions. The screen shots I've seen all look good and most all the other things I've read sound pretty positive.

I'll keep watching the threads though.

Thanks
