Command Ops 2 Teasers?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Command Ops 2 Teasers?

Post by dazkaz15 »

Miguel was indicating you have done quite a lot of work on Command Ops 2 now.

Do you have any screen dumps, of the new interface you can show us yet?

I'm particularly interested in any work you have done on the OOB list.

Will we be able to Ctrl click on units to select them, and add them to a force, directly from the OOB list?

Daz,

Ha! How much time do we get to sleep. That young gun Miquel might have done some things but I can assure you I have been focussed on getting this final patch done and IIRC you Daz have been making sure I dot all the Is and cross all the Ts.[:)]

Specifically we haven't done anything yet with the OB display. As soon as we do we'll post a pic.

Ok mate.

Just trying to make sure you don't pump out Command Ops 2 with a load of old bugs, I'm sure it will have plenty of new ones of its own lol.

We need It to get a good reception, and be a great success, to get in loads of new players, and make you loads of money, so you can plough it all back into command Ops 3, then die a pauper like all the great artist, and geniuses do [;)]
But hey...they will build a statue of you, what more could you ask for?

See your not the only one with a long term plan [:D]

Would people be interested in a "developer blog" of sorts?

Soon (tm) Dave will be able to make public something johndoesecond has been working on for some time, and we hope will help to improve the visibility and engagement with the Command Ops "community".

Yeah a blog would be great!
I think that kind of thing really helps to boost the interest, and dispel some of the over expectation that some people have about new releases, that can cause bad press when they are disappointed, the features they were wanting are not included.

The other side of this is, don't say you are going to include something then find you can't because you ran out of time/money.

Also don't ever give a release date until you know you can keep it [:'(]

Its done when its done, is my favourite saying [;)]

This is just my experience from reading other forums of popular releases.

The only thing I have ever released is the dog into the back garden to have a crap [:D]

Don't worry Daz, if I get to write such a thing as a dev blog, I'll never tell you something is going to be included, I'll be telling you about what I'm working on. Those are two different things [:)]

I would love to see a blog too. It would be very nice to see what you are working on. As someone new to the gaming system, I'm very impressed by the responsiveness to the user community. I'm really enjoying the challenge of the game and am looking forward to playing this for a long time.

Agree with Mike, and can`t wait for CO2! (Well, I actually can, as I`m a newcomer to Command Ops and have barely scratched the surface)

Are you going to do a Pre-release beta for those that pre-purchase the new engine?

I would be interested in helping out.
The time I am able to put into the game is very sporadic, due to work, and family, but would like to help out if I am able at the time.
