GD1938 Game 5

Post by ironduke1955 »

Looking for players for a GD1938 game.

Its a rules game and not for the faint hearted or short of time.

turns played within 24 hours if not then a designated player will play the turn to keep the game moving (This may or may not be implemented if the designated player knows why you can't play the turn then no problem just a slight delay)

So far we have

Hatem UK/France
Ironduke Axis
Lion of Judah USA/China
ernieschwitz USSR

Just to clarify at no time can a player take a action that would lead to a DOW on one of his own countries. Say if Germany wants Austria Early he cannot arrange to have Italy declare war on Austria take control of Austria and then make peace with Italy.

I'd like to take China if a human China is allowed. The 24 hour requirement should not be a problem for me if China is the only country that I'm playing.

No problem China/USA I was hoping for four/five players only game moves a lot quicker.

That's four players
Germany/Italy/Japan
Soviet Union
UK/France
China/USA

only change at five is Japan becomes solo and Germany Italy are paired.

That was pretty much the idea I wanted to do in the other game, but oh well. Id like to take UK/France.

As for declaring passwords, was this tried before? Id think 1 trusted person holding all the passwords and subbing every one would be more practical, or if that person is busy he could send out the password to whoever the absent player is allied with. just an idea..
It's hateM not hate, I dont hate any one.

Yes I remember that's what you said, no reason why we should not attempt a fast moving game and have the slower games running parallel. Designated player or subbing would be fine no need to make the password known.

Ok
Axis Germany Italy Japan ?
USSR Ironduke
UK/France Hatem
USA/China Jonathan

Just waiting for one more then we are good to go.

Sorry, I'm going to drop out of this game. Because of time pressure I think two countries will be too much for me.

Ok Jonathan if you don't have a problem with playing the USSR we could swap.

The only Power claimed is UK/France so that leaves (The Axis Germany Italy Japan) (USSR) or (USA China) I'll wait and see what's left over.

Ok scratch USA/China gone to Lion of Judah

Thanks for considering it Germany/Axis is daunting. But the USSR is still vacant if you prefer the waiting game.

I am very tempted, especially if we play using v. 2.15.

But I know from previous experiences that a turn a day might be too much for me..

Edit: Oh and if i am going to play, i would prefer the soviet union, atm.
