WHEN????

Sovereignty: Crown of Kings is a turn-based fantasy strategy game for the PC. It offers a intuitive yet deep province system, allowing you to raise armies, conduct diplomacy, scout enemy battle lines, rally heroes to your banner, send them on quests, cast spells and go to war. In Sovereignty, the player chooses one of 35 Realms in a bid for dominance of the map. Play is conducted in a series of turns as a single player game. Each Realm has a unique culture and history, which translates directly into different play-styles. Each realm has its own mix of unit types and spell trees. Their diplomatic relations, economies and histories vary. A player may choose a new realm and experience the game in a very different way. Fantasy heroes, troops, races and spells complement the rise to power.

On Jan 13, we submitted a publisher review for beta and identified a number of polish areas. We decided to delay beta until those are resolved. The areas of focus are:

1. Game Feedback: Game mechanics are at work, but the player doesn't have sufficient feedback about what's happening.
2. Campaign Missions: The game is playing well as a sandbox, and now it's time to layer in stories and objectives.

Sovereignty is much-anticipated, and that makes it doubly important that we hold until we are sure. Slitherine will make a formal announcement when ready.

Immersion is the word you need to be thinking of all the time whilst developing the game. Give the player enough feedback to be immersed into the whole world\war\game.

First of all, the tutorial needs to work properly. Then the game needs to be enjoyable to continue to be played by beta testers. You can sign up when we feel a beta is feasible if you want and test it.

Therefore, we don't have a release date yet.

No, beta testing will be done on PC via a special FTP link.

We will release the game on Steam though.
