Clicking on desktop Icon gets error

Post by Combatengineerjrgmail »

The Desktop Icon that points to the install directory and then the file Autorun.exe produces a small error white error box that simply states: "F:\Matrix Games\Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm\autorun.exe" then a blank line and: "Unspecified error". Only option is to close out.

Going into the directory and double clicking autorun.exe directly gives same error. Same if I click on the update.exe. However I can click on the FPRS.exe and start Flashpoint directly. Just no chance to use auto-update etc.

I'm on the latest release and never tried a beta patch etc.

John

New info.

Clicking on any of the Patch exe files, the ones in the Patches sub directory, results in the same error.

John,

Is the game installed on you drive at the F:\ location? Can you right click the icon and get a screen shot of the properties tab?

I'm sure a fine windows feature (undocumented of course). Glad you are up and running at 100%.
