Thread Links for 2+ Coder & Dev Diaries

John Tiller's Campaign Series exemplifies tactical war-gaming at its finest by bringing you the entire collection of TalonSoft's award-winning campaign series. Containing TalonSoft's West Front, East Front, and Rising Sun platoon-level combat series, as well as all of the official add-ons and expansion packs, the Matrix Edition allows players to dictate the events of World War II from the tumultuous beginning to its climatic conclusion. We are working together with original programmer John Tiller to bring you this updated edition.

Reported at the blitz
Quote:I just noticed that if you try to sort scenarios by date it does not work. The scenarios just seemed to be listed randomly.
berto
Bad (Talonsoft) legacy code, combined with more recent date fixes. Will be corrected in 2.01.

Quote:Also it is very frustrating to have to unselect graphical unit icons EVERY time that I log into a game.

Will also be fixed in 2.01.

Thanks also.

Please add

Developer Diary #1 - MCS Sound System
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3463244

in a separate section in your OP, then add to that if and when other Dev Team members post their own Developer Diary additions.

Crossroads' sounds contributions are at least as significant as some of the stuff I've done and noted by you in your list.

Again, it should be stated that we are a team, and that code alone is insufficient; without code and data and testing, there is no game.

For the record, on the Dev Team, we have:

[*]Team Lead: Jason Petho
[*]Lead Coder: berto
[*]Graphics Lead: Warhorse
[*]Sounds Lead: Crossroads
[*]Map Lead: resinslinger (future maps for MW), plus all scenario designers*
[*]OOB Developers: Jason Petho, Warhorse, Huib, K K Rossokolski, Crossroads, etc.*
[*]Scenario Designers: Jason Petho, Warhorse, Huib, K K Rossokolski, Crossroads, etc.*
[*]Play Testers: Virtually every team member*

Altogether currently a dozen or so Dev Team members, some working on CS & the new MW games, some brought in recently to work on the CS update only.

Giving credit where credit is due.

[* I will mention others by name explicitly if and when they decide to "come out" or ask for the public recognition. Until then, preserving their confidentiality otherwise. Every contributor's name, past and present, will be listed in the official game credits, of course.]

I don't know if stuff at the blitz shows up to people that are not members.

Won't be long and it will all be here anyway.

I believe non members can see posts, because

[*]I can see stuff if I'm not logged in, and
[*]I could see stuff before becoming a member early last year.

FWIW.
