Holiday cheer. 11 more days for the gathering of friends and family. With the busy life we all lead it's a special time indeed.

Nice shots, Reb. I'm quite jealous of that deck view. You on an acreage?

Hey Boomer, good to see you. Yeah, I'm on 27 of my own but that connects to many many more. I may purchase a tract that is across the road from me when the old lady there passes. Her family has said before that they would be willing to let some go and there is a nice 30+ acres as part of it with a great 1 acre pond. But, i'm not sure I'll have the funds by then to do it. Who knows.

I've been thinking to ask your place looks during winter. Now I know it looks even more wonderful than I imagined. [:)]

Thank you for sharing. [:)]

Well we certainly don't get the snow you folks do. Youd hate to drive around us when it snows just a little I'm sure.

and what better way to finish off a cold day than some fresh made wheat/oat bread? It has risen enough to be put in the oven.

I'd sure like to see you folks' winter pics.

No interesting pics from this year, but this pic is from the really bad arctic storm that hit here a couple of years ago. We had 2 foot drifts up against the garage. Couldn't get out to drive into town for about 4 days.

Wow. That looks like some heavy wet snow. We had an ice storm about 6 years ago that left us without power for 5 days. Now that was rough. Spent a fortune running a generator. Never want to go through that again. Enough family fun time to push even Ward Cleaver to domestic violence.

I like winter for just a short while. Come February I am so done with it.

I think you needed a bigger front loader. That small tractor sure must of had a hell of a workout.

Thanks for the pic.

That's actually my neighbor Jeff and his Kubota. I don't have a tractor yet, so I have to be jealous of his. Believe me, he gets a lot of work done with that thing. He's always talking about getting a trade in for a larger model... I think it must be tractor size envy.

I've got gardening projects, septic work, brush clearing... yep, tractors of any size are almost a must out in the country. My piggie bank will have to be a lot larger before there's enough bones for one. Anyone care to buy me one for Christmas? [;)]

I don't own one. That is a nice little machine. A guy down the road a piece has one that he uses quite often. He has some nice 3 point attachments for it also. Ain't nothing cheap in the whole setup.
