How to disable war notifications for other empires?

How to disable war notifications for other empires?

I disabled 'War and Trade Sanctions' for both scrolling and popup but I continue to get the Galactic Newsnet spam when other empires start and end wars.

Go into options, main menu or escape from within a game, and at the bottom are the extended message settings, the option to turn them off may be in there.

Yes I tried that, I disabled War and Trade Sanctions in those message settings but I continue to get the Newsnet feed on other empires' wars.
