Test of Wills

Post by LittleDogmaOne »

A, B, C, and D 36th Mechanized Infantry Bn were responsible to hold the ground near by NATO's minefield/obstacle line in order to denied 1321st MRR and GTR an open path to the objective(s). In first 25 minutes, B and D 36th Mechanized Infantry Bn were successfully stopped them in cold, and then took 144 tracked/wheeled/legs out of the picture!

With the first wave of 144 tracked/wheeled/legs out of the picture, the 1321st MRR and other elements decided to press on, and then fought tooth and nail against B and D 36th Mechanized Infantry Bn, but 36th Mechanized Bns' guided missile(s) and their hard-earned training won the round(s).

In my surprise, small element of the 1321st MRR and GTR tried to take north flank, and secure the objective near by Klen Anheim. 1 and 2/C/23rd Engineer Bn moved in, and fought bravely in order to take the objective back to our hand. 1 and 2/C/23rd Engineer Bn successfully eliminated over 10 T-72s.

The 1321st and small element of GTR decided to withdraw from the objective, and then changed course toward west/southwest in order to secure the objective near by Weiskirchen.

Element of the C/67th Armd Bn moved in, and conducted a hail mary/right hook toward Seligenstadt, and Froschensen. Element of the C/67th Armd Bn successfully eliminated Soviet elements in south flank, and were ordered to move in toward Weiskirchen in order to meet with element of the 1321st MRR. Unfortunately, time ran out.

3:35 hours elapsed, 1321st and other elements decided to withdraw from the battlefield.

When game was over, I was looking at bird view of the battlefield... wish that I order C/67th Armd Bn going little farther, and catch all HQs and artillery elements by surprise. Damn fog of war!
