Game hangs on write error

Playing the US Campaign.
Successfully survived the 2nd scenario (barely).
Then started the next scenario.
While in Depot Mode after selecting recovery time and number of victory points to spend, I hit the commit button and got a popup with access violation (screen shot attached). I hit OK and was able to proceed.
Then tried to save the game and got 'Error writing units file to save file' message (screen shot attached in next post).
Game was then hung and had to use task manager to kill FPRS.

Can you post your game 2 save. If this is the one before the crash. Also, what game version are you running and what OS and country?

Game version 2.0.1, Windows 7 SP1, USA

Attached zip file contains two saves, 'US Campaign-2-0044' which is the last save before the end of Scenario 2, although there are about two hours of game time to be played before the scenario ends.
'US Campaign-2-fins' starts Sceanrio3 with the Depot Mode popup.

Try updating to 2.02a and see if that doesn't correct the problem.

updating to version 2.02a seems to have corrected the issue.
