A modding FR

I read DW will support more in-depth modding in the future, so for what it's worth I have a feature request in that regard.

DW is currently very much a strategy game, where combat basically boils down to dumping one fleet on top of another, and the strongest/best fleet comes out on top. I'd like to introduce a greater emphasis on tactics, and I hope to accomplish this by 1) giving each star and planet their own hyper-indicting gravity well (planets less so than stars) and 2) increasing weapon ranges and weapon range disparity as well as sublight speeds to compensate for the need to maneuver in normal space.

I hope this will be possible in the future.

this sounds like a great idea
making the ships smaller in relation to the size of the planets would give a bigger space feel to the game

Maybe a mod where we can assign fleet formations and certain formations would have certain benefits?
