Patriot radars

Is there a reason why the radars integral to Patriot missiles seem to only point east?

East is where the commies are coming from :D just kidding

Its pretty obvious the reason why Patriot radar points in one direction when you look at the radar itsself.

Its electronically steered.

You can rotate a facility by right clicking on it while in editor mode.

Did you right click on the Patriot and use the "Set Orientation" slider? With the game paused, you can also use the F3 "Plot Course" tool followed by the F2 "Throttle-Altitude/Depth" tool, setting the speed to stop. Doing so will get the unit to rotate in place without actually moving.

In my tests it did not spin back using either method.

Yes.

I'll give this a shot.

I did notice, however, that if I had a course set with the F3 tool and then I used the M key to move the unit somewhere else, once the clock started again it would rotate to face the same endpoint of the path. Could it be that was what you first observed?

On another note, it would be cool if we could get a "Set Altitude" and "Set Speed" utility as well so I don't have to fly my aircraft to 1200' from 40,000' to set them up for a scenario.

Cheers
