Looking for some quick help

Post by Lecivius »

Sorry to dump this in here, but I need a rather quick answer. I need to copy a demo video from work onto a thumb drive before I go home. Can I do this using fraps? If so, how? And if not, is there a better way?

Why can't you just copy the file to the thumbdrive then copy to your home pc?
No problem Chief!

It's a web based video, it won't let me save the file, and I need to go on a client prem do do some very weird stuff. If it can't be done, oh well, I'm just trying not to botch it.

<edit>

I got a fraps of it, but it's only the 30 second FW version. Is there anything comparable that will capture @ 14 minutes?

What format is the web video in? I would imagine flash or mp4... Firefox browser has a video downloader plugin you can get and it will download just about any type of video file format there is. Just get a downloader plugin for your browser, download the file, then copy it over to your thumb drive.

Great idea. They disabled Firefox here at work for some reason, though :( All I have is IE and Chrome.

Yeah, but there is an exploit on Firefox. I think IT over reacted, but not my job.
