Possibility of AA fires crash the game

Post by Durgard »

Hi all

Every time the game has the opportunity of an AA fire (by ships or AA units), the game crash whatever option you choose (fire or not).

It make the game unplayable as soon as you begin the naval operations in the Atlantic.

Regards (and sorry for my bad English).

I have been using naval AA fire several times in my AAR with no difficulties. Have you checked for and installed the update patch ?

In the naval anti-air phase during naval combats it seems that the problem doesn't occur.
But in case of air attack against ships or anti-air fires against attacking aircrafts (ground or strategic attempts), the occuring is 100%.

When I port attack Leningrad at the start of the Ger-USSR war in barbarossa, it happens all the times.

I need to skip the port attack if I want to go on playing. Just for the record, I know Steve is into it.

This also happens with Anti-Air units during the surprise phase of the ground strike phase.

Having the same issue in the Barb scenario with RU AA vs GE Stukas. The AA form will let you assign how many shots you want etc and then just vanishes, leaving you unable to proceed in the sequence.

Start over, and don't use HotSeat. AA causes crashes on port strikes and ground strikes. If there is an AA unit near an attacked hex in Hotseat, well, game over.

I bashed my head against this and lost a bunch of time.

I discovered it doesn't affect Solitaire play, which appears to be functioning best.
