Soviet Arms production - week to week change

Post by rmonical »

This is interesting. No significant Axis activity. No Armaments factories moved. 279 shown as available for many weeks. 77000 was the recent high water mark.

1942-2-5
77000 ARMAMENTS produced in 308 armaments factories
15400 tons of SUPPLIES consumed by armaments production
0 ARMAMENTS factory locations didn't have enough supplies

1942-2-12
74500 ARMAMENTS produced in 298 armaments factories
14900 tons of SUPPLIES consumed by armaments production
0 ARMAMENTS factory locations didn't have enough supplies

Are there any damaged factories?

Perhaps this is the multiplier kicking in?

From my old saves from the same dates:

73250 ARMAMENTS produced in 293 armaments factories
14650 tons of SUPPLIES consumed by armaments production
0 ARMAMENTS factory locations didn't have enough supplies

86000 ARMAMENTS produced in 344 armaments factories
17200 tons of SUPPLIES consumed by armaments production
0 ARMAMENTS factory locations didn't have enough supplies

I see a fluctuation of this number is my log from turn to turn.

279 factories with a 130% multiplier should report as 362 factories (roughly, as each slot is multiplied separately). If there is no damage and no lack of supplies then I don't know what may cause this...

In my case it was because of damaged factories. The bug is they are not shown in the DAMAGED column in the global report but are visible in detailed report.

Ok, this works but is misleading.

DAMAGED column reports factories with damage > 49. For production a factory must pass a test where Die(50) > damage (only those in 0-49 range can produce).

So... in the DAMAGED column you see those factories that will not produce at all. In production log you see those factories that produced something affected by efficiency multiplier (n*mult/100 on integers, on a slot-by-slot basis), while those lightly damaged that failed random test won't be accounted for at all in the log.

Yep - there it is.21.2....[>:]
Damaged factory production probability is Die (50) > factory damage. So having 1% damage will have 2% probability to have 0 production. 49% damage have 98% probability to be not produced this turn.
